Description: Recognized for outstanding dedication to the Somali community through initiatives promoting education, health, and cultural unity.
The Forum’s efforts to provide reliable health information during COVID19, support for young people’s education, and mental health services were key highlights.
Impact: Strengthened our reputation as a trusted source for guidance, support, and culturally sensitive programming in Bristol.

2.Excellence in Youth Empowerment Award
Awarded By: National Youth Development Network
Description: This award was granted for ourYouth Mentorship Program, which has empowered over 50 young Somali individuals in Bristol to pursue higher education, career goals, and personal growth.

The program includes oneonone mentoring, skillbuilding workshops, and access to local internships.
Impact: This recognition has attracted new mentors, funding, and additional community support, allowing us to expand our services for youth.

3.Health and Wellbeing Champion Award
Awarded By: Bristol Health and Wellness Foundation
Description: Awarded for our exceptional health outreach, particularly during the pandemic.
Our team’s efforts to provide multilingual COVID19 resources, promote vaccination, and offer mental health support were praised for reaching underserved community members.

5.Outstanding Advocacy and Legal Support Award
Awarded By: Justice for All Initiative
Description: Awarded for our work in supporting vulnerable individuals with immigration and legal challenges.
Through partnerships with legal advisors, we have helped dozens of community members understand their rights and navigate complex legal systems.
